Captain Akhilesh Saxena, a Kargil War Hero, has successfully exhibited his qualities of leadership and bravery at the battlefront of the Kargil War. This motivational leader-led three attacks- Tololing peak, Hump area and Three Pimples, and motivated the soldiers to move forward to succeed during the most hostile conditions.
About Captain Akhilesh Saxena
Captain Akhilesh Saxena, as an Artillery Forward Observation Officer (FOO), directed the massive firing of 120 artillery guns on Tololing peak while climbing with the assault teams of 2-Rajputana Rifles. When our soldiers fought like an undefeated army, India got its first victory in the Kargil War. This Kargil War Veteran shared war moments with Major Acharya, Major Vivek Gupta, Captain Vijayant, and Captain Vikram Batra. By the grace of God, even after being hit by Pakistan’s artillery shelling, he survived to tell inspiring stories of the war and draw an accurate picture of what transpired.
